Infuse Your Summer with Marijuana-Infused Drinks

The summer of 2021 will be one like no other. With restrictions being lifted and families and friends able to see each other once again, why not celebrate a unique occasion with something a little different?

Let’s face it: most of us haven’t been out in a while – these cannabis-infused cocktails can help ease some of the anxiety of breaking the ice again! We’ve compiled some of the tastiest and freshest tasting recipes around to bring you some flavorful relaxation for this year’s summer events.

Cannabis-infused cocktails also make a fantastic alternative to those who might wish to consume less alcohol. They have a relaxing, social effect without the numbing of senses that makes liquor sometimes tricky to cut back on. Above all, for what is already one of the hottest summers to date, they are delicious and refreshing. Let’s dive in.

1) The Ginger Rabbit

No, it’s not a Bond girl, it’s a lovely, refreshing and actually quite a healthy drink. With some infused ginger syrup and a few other ingredients, you can quench both thirst and social apprehension with one sip. This invigorating and delicious recipe involves finding decarboxylated cannabis or making it yourself which can be done here.

As with many cannabis-infused cocktail recipes, you will likely want to prep the cannabis-infused ingredients the day before, as they often require setting in a fridge for some time. View the original recipe here.

2) The Hippy Highball

This is a fantastic fruity idea that uses cannabis-infused honey, tincture and fresh berries to pack a refreshing punch in just about any drink you can put ice in. This recipe creates delicious and refreshing ice balls aka ‘highballs’ that you drop into a glass of water, lemonade, or any fruit juice that you think could use a little extra something.

While the tincture and the honey are easier to source than decarboxylated cannabis, you do still need to freeze it, so the convenience of this recipe is on par with the ginger rabbit. View the original recipe

3) Cannabis-Infused Red Wine Sangria

Ok, a little disclaimer before we start. Mixing cannabis and alcohol can have some adverse effects. These are somewhat less than affectionately referred to as the ‘spins’ or ‘cross-fading’. For those of you that don’t mind a little booze in your cannabis infusions, this sangria recipe should make a nice treat.

4) CBD-Infused Peach Hibiscus Cocktail

Here comes an aromatic, flowery and fruity cocktail that is sure to get some mouths watering come the weekend! On top of being delicious and aromatic, this CBD-infused cocktail is downright beautiful! The only hesitation will be in destroying such an aesthetically lovely creation – but you’ll get over it. Enjoy this flowery cocktail recipe here.

5) Fresh CBD-Infused Peach Bellini

It’s shaping up to be hot summer. Sometimes a beer or a cocktail just can’t quite beat the heat on its own. Sometimes you need something – just a little colder. This CBD-infused Bellini crosses the line between CBD and cocktail, and between liquid and frozen. You’ll need to pace yourself with this one – nobody likes brain freeze!

This is another recipe that uses alcohol, so again, pace yourself and be careful when combining substances. Otherwise, if you love peach schnapps, prosecco or sparkling wine, and the effects of CBD, you will love this fruity cocktail smoothie.

6) Weed-Infused Strawberry Banana Shooter

Ok, this one also has to come with a warning! Delicious liquor can be dangerous on its own, let alone when combined with cannabis, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this delicious, party-ready shooter responsibly.

This delicious, fruity recipe uses cannabis (of course), vodka, banana liquor, strawberry Bailey’s, and some sweet garnishes – View the recipe here.

7) Cannabis-Infused Whiskey

With the right tincture you can create your own cannabis-infused cocktails – even if its not really a cocktail. Infused whiskey can be enjoyed anywhere you already enjoy your favorite bourbon, rye or scotch. With so many fruity drinks on the roster, we had to include something that burns a little on the way down. If you love whiskey with a bit of cannabis, you’ll enjoy this neat little recipe.

8) CBD Lavender Lemon Cocktail

Here is a CBD-infused cocktail that screams sophistication. Lavender has been a flavor that has been growing in popularity lately with craft breweries even putting out lavender-infused beers. This cocktail takes it one step further by adding CBD. Leave the gin out for an almost-virgin version.

A perfect drink to enjoy in the cooler part of a hot evening. View the recipe here.

9) Citrus Mimosa Party with Cannabis Tinctures

This is a great recipe to include at any party. Create a whole mimosa bar complete with cannabis tinctures that let your guests pick and choose, perfect for a backyard get-together. The advantage of this recipe is you can let your guests dose themselves as they see fit.

That also means that you should really be conscientious of guests who may not be as experienced with cannabis products. Because taking cannabis orally hits the user differently from smoking, it can easily be overdone, so it is important to go slow. View the whole party plan here.

10) Marijuana Jungle Juice Bowl

We’re going to finish off with another boozy punch. As with all of the cross substance recipes, do go slow – especially with this one. It isn’t just a punch, it packs one. You’ll be pulling out more than 2 bottles of high-proof liquor, which is fun for those of you who like that sort of thing.

This cannabis-infused punch bowl makes a great addition to any party where fun is being had. View the original recipe here.

Don’t forget that you can pick up tinctures, edibles and other eco-friendly cannabis products for your next party at ecomeds.com.

Cannabis-infused cocktails make a great alternative or addition to alcoholic beverages at parties. Most of these drinks are just as enjoyable in their virgin forms as they are with liquor added.

Always go slow, listen to your body and be careful with dosing. Experiment with these recipes, and enjoy them with family and friends at your next get-together this summer!
